Job Title: Quality Engineer/ CWI - Mid-Senior level

Job Description:
Responsibilities
Investigate non-conforming material issues/processes. Work with Team Leaders, Manufacturing Managers and Purchasing for resolution.
Develop and maintain an internal quality audit system. Generate and perform internal audits.
Provide and maintain a system for controlling documentation of quality policies and procedures.
Represent our company and coordinate audits from an outside source.
Ability to work toward continuous improvement of product quality.
Maintain our CAR system
Responsible for Behlen welding certification programs to support Behlen Accreditations
Conduct testing of the welder test assemblies and/or welding operator qualification test assemblies.
Supervise qualification test activities when performed by outside agencies.
Responsible for the database to maintain welding documentation.
Prepare reports and verify records of the welding procedure, the welding procedure qualification, welders, welding operators, tack welder qualification, control of welding material, and the results of examinations are maintained.
Perform calibration of measuring devices, along with maintaining calibration database.
Train to be a Lead Auditor and CWI certified
Practice safe working habits and follow safety policy, procedures and Job Safety Analysis
Work with the Quality team to develop a company-wide quality system that complies with ISO 9000 and other Quality certifications.
Work with Branch Plants to maintain Welder Certification Program and other Quality needs.
Willing to travel to Branch Plants.
Qualifications
Associates Degree or equivalent work experience.
5+ years of experience related to quality/Manufacturing required
Strong knowledge of welding processes
Knowledge of MS Office Suite.
Ability to read measuring devices (micrometers, calipers, tape measures, etc.)
Good written and oral communication skills.
A participative management style.
Excellent team building skills.
Self-Starter.
Critical thinking skills
Good attention to detail, ability to work on their own.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
