Join us in our mission to "Keep your world smelling Fresh."1st Shift: 6:30AM to 5:00PM, Monday to ThursdayPay Rate: Competitive base of $20.65 per hourWhat Fresh Products Offers Enjoy a 4-day work week, with 3 days off Occasional mandatory OT on Fridays that is communicated ahead of time Weekly pay 401k with company match Comprehensive Medical, Dental, & Vision Benefits Paid Time OffGeneral Summary: Tends machine that performs one or more packaging functions such as press operation, marking, labeling, packing, or wrapping products by performing the following duties.Essential Duties & Responsibilities Starts machine and observes operation to detect malfunctions of machine. Stops machine and reports malfunction to supervisor. Makes major adjustments such as opening chutes, adjusting formers for finseal accuracy, adjusting wrapper temperatures, adjusting press weights and pressure settings. Inspect finished product to ensure that product is packaged according to specifications. Feeds products to conveyors, hoppers, or other feeding devices, and unloads packaged products. Replenishes packaging supplies such as packaging film, boxes, cartons, tape, ink, or labels. Mounts packaging film on spindles for wrapper feeding devices. Demonstrate proficiency in all 9 packaging positions. Supports Company’s goals and values. Must be willing to work non-standard and extended hours as needed. May be required to perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.Required Skills & Abilities Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.Required Education And/or Experience High school diploma or general education degree (GED) Or one to three months’ related experience and/or training Or equivalent combination of education and experienceWorking ConditionsPhysical Demands:While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to walk and talk or hear. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 20 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.Work EnvironmentWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles and vibration.
