HBITS: HBITS-07-14760NYS OITS - Expert, Business Analyst30 month contractInterview: In-person--- Project Description ---This position will develop and/or maintain businessrequirements, test plans and test cases and perform functionaland regression testing on applications. This position will alsosupport applications in a help desk type environment.--- Day-to-Day Tasks ---1. Analyze system documentation and system artifacts todevelop an understanding of the associated business process.2. Elicit business system requirements using one or more of thefollowing methods: analyze current processes, interview users,conduct group meetings, review/analyze existingdocumentation or system artifacts.3. Document and analyze 'as is' and 'to be' business processes.4. Develop or maintain high-level and detailed systemrequirements in the form of clear business requirementsdocuments, context diagrams, process flow diagrams, datadictionaries, and use cases.5. Develop or maintain test plans and detailed test cases.6. Develop or maintain user acceptance testing plans and helpdesk support guides.7. Develop detailed functional and system tests fromdocumented system requirements. Ensure appropriate testcoverage by mapping system requirements to test cases.8. Develop or contribute to the development of regression testsand/or user acceptance tests.9. Execute functional and system tests, including regressiontests. Participate in user acceptance testing.10. Identify and document application defects and track toresolution, performing retesting as required.11. Identify and document deficiencies in system documentation(e.g., missing or ambiguous requirements) identified during thetesting process.12. Respond and work-through incident tickets submitted by usersof business applications.Business AnalystAnalyzes an organization or business domain (real or hypothetical) and documents its business or processes or systems, assessing the business model or its integration with technology with distinct deliverables to a solution. Expert 84+ Months: Candidate is able to provide guidance to large teams and/or has extensive industry experience and is considered at the top of his/her field.• 84 months of experience eliciting business requirements frombusiness customers or system artifacts and maintaining suchrequirements.• 84 months of experience developing business requirements andprocess documentation such as use cases, process flows, screenmock-ups, and data dictionaries.• 84 months of experience creating test plans and test cases,executing functional and system tests including regression tests.Ensure appropriate test coverage by mapping systemrequirements to test cases.• 84 months of experience identifying and documenting applicationdefects, tracking defects to resolution, and performing retesting asrequired.• 24 months of experience with systems related to criminal justiceprocessing (including but not limited to): statistical reporting,disposition processing, fingerprint identification processing,criminal history updating, Sex Offender management, tracking ofWanted/Missing persons, or other applications utilized by lawenforcement.Statement for MVPMVP Consulting Plus is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
