NCM provides RIAs and their clients with access to private markets. The first strategy brought to market provides diversified exposure to private credit sectors through an interval fund structure. The second fund launched is a private credit drawdown strategy. Additional products/strategies will be developed in other private markets such as real estate, infrastructure, private equity or venture capital (e.g., potentially including non-traded REIT/BDCs, open/closed-end private funds or similar structures).Role DescriptionThis is a unique opportunity to lead complex financial operations across multiple fund structures while shaping the future of alternative credit investing for the group. You will drive financial excellence for Nomura Capital Management – a sophisticated private credit platform currently managing both an interval fund (NAIFX) and a traditional private fund.In this role, you will:Fund Operations ExcellenceLead daily/quarterly NAV processes and chair valuation committee responsibilities with precision and transparency to all associated partiesAdminister compliance with '40 Act diversification, leverage, and liquidity requirements while maintaining operational efficiencyManage comprehensive private fund accounting and oversee rigorous valuations and fair value determinations across all forms of private credit investingCoordinate seamless private fund capital calls and distributions with fund partnersStrategic Financial LeadershipOversee sophisticated financial reporting for both '40 Act interval funds and private fund structures, leading annual audits and coordinating deliverables with service providers and internal stakeholdersEnsure meticulous compliance with SEC registered fund regulations, private fund requirements, fund governing agreements, and accounting standardsDrive comprehensive financial reporting including fund-level, portfolio company, and firm-level financialsAssist COO with strategic budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to support business growth and investor transparencyOrganizational ImpactDevelop unified financial reporting frameworks that set firm standards for current funds and future product launchesLead broader finance initiatives supporting multiple fund types while driving continuous process improvementsBuild scalable systems and processes to support rapid growth and operational excellenceIntegrate with broader Nomura Holding America finance colleagues to ensure consistent reporting and collaborationSkills, Experience, Qualifications and Knowledge RequiredEssential Credentials:10+ years of progressive experience with minimum 5+ years managing both registered and private fund structures investing primarily in private creditCPA required; MBA preferredStrong '40 Act and private fund experience essential - no exceptionsTechnical Expertise:Exceptional background in private credit valuations, fund accounting, GAAP, and alternative investment structuresDeep, demonstrable knowledge of interval fund mechanics and complex regulatory reporting requirementsProven experience with sophisticated portfolio valuation methodologies and fair value frameworksPrior experience at leading asset managers with multiple fund structures strongly preferredGeneral:Excellent problem-solving and analytical skillsMotivated to independently find solutions and to then propose for collaboration and implementationSuperior communication and interpersonal abilitiesDetail-oriented with strong organizational skillsNomura CompetenciesExplore Insights & VisionIdentify the underlying causes of problems faced by you or your team and define a clear vision and direction for the future.Making Strategic DecisionsEvaluate all the options for resolving the problems and effectively prioritize actions or recommendations.Inspire Entrepreneurship in PeopleInspire team members through effective communication of ideas and motivate them to actively enhance productivity.Elevate Organizational CapabilityEngage proactively in professional development and enhance team productivity through the promotion of knowledge sharing.InclusionFoster a culture of inclusion and psychological safety in the workplace and cultivate a "Risk Culture" (Challenge, Escalate and Respect).*base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, corporate and functional title and duties, job-related knowledge and advanced degrees, skills, and experience.
