Job Description Substation Crew Lead – Underground ConstructionNorth Florida | $32–42/hr + Work Truck + Per Diem + Paid Hotel + Full BenefitsWe are seeking an experienced Substation Crew Lead / Foreman to support greenfield substation construction projects throughout North Florida, with occasional travel to projects across other areas of Florida as work is awarded.This role is ideal for someone who enjoys leading crews in the field and has hands-on experience with below-grade substation construction activities, including foundations, site preparation, grounding systems, conduit installation, grading, and civil work associated with new substation builds.Preference will be given to candidates residing in North Florida or South Georgia, though qualified candidates throughout Florida are encouraged to apply.Schedule:4x10 schedule (Monday–Thursday)Occasional 5th day available (10-hour Friday overtime)Opportunity for additional overtimeCompensation & Benefits:$32–42/hr (based on experience)Company work truck providedPaid hotel accommodationsPer diemMileage/travel assistance as applicableFull benefits packageLong-term career growth opportunitiesResponsibilities:Lead and oversee field crews performing below-grade substation construction workCoordinate daily activities and maintain production schedulesSupport greenfield substation construction projects from early site development through foundation completionRead and interpret drawings, plans, and specificationsCoordinate with project management and utility representativesLead and participate in:Site grading and preparationFoundation excavation activitiesDrilled pier operationsConcrete placement and finishingGround grid installationUnderground conduit installationFoundation and below-grade construction activitiesMaintain quality, productivity, and safety expectationsEnsure crews follow company and client safety requirementsPerform occasional travel throughout Florida as project needs dictateQualifications:1–4+ years of experience leading substation construction crewsExperience supporting greenfield substation projectsHands-on experience with below-grade substation construction activitiesWorking knowledge of:GradingFoundationsConcrete finishingDrilled piersUnderground conduit systemsGround grid installationAbility to read construction drawings and layoutsStrong leadership and communication skillsValid driver's license with acceptable driving recordBonus experience:Above-grade substation construction experienceUtility construction experienceExperience leading larger crews or multiple crewsIf you enjoy leading crews, working outdoors, and building critical power infrastructure, we'd love to hear from you!
