Industrial Automation Engineer
MISSION
This position supports an evening or overnight shift by designing, installing, programming, debugging, and troubleshooting automated equipment to ensure that the customer’s requirements are met on a timely basis with a manufactured product. This may include programmable logic controllers, robotics, vision systems, HMI software and hardware, as well as other pneumatic and electrical instrumentations. Must be able to perform in a fast paced, results oriented environment with tight time constraints. Travel may be required. This position is also involved in the development, commissioning, and training of the finishing and assembly equipment’s. This position is in charge of the Process Control Instrumentation systems, Continuous Conveyor Systems, VFDs and other similar systems. This is a salaried exempt position.
Primary Responsibilities
Ensure all automated systems are current
Implement automated systems into plant
Assist maintenance personnel in complex troubleshooting
Set up and facilitate automation training for all associates
Additional Responsibilities
Incumbent is the primary contact for error proofing, poke yoke, etc.
Work actively in continuous improvement and corrective action activities of the lean culture consistent with the INERGY IPS philosophy
Provide support to other departments as needed
Maintain the 5-S system
PROFILE REQUIREMENTS
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechatronics, Electrical or Mechanical) or equivalent combination of education and experience
3 to 7 years manufacturing experience, plastics or automotive preferred
Must be willing to work an evening or overnight shift and support an On-Call rotation
Must be authorized to work in the United States without the requirement for sponsorship or transfer of Visa now or at any time in the future
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proven ability to work in a team environment
Ability to collect, maintain and analyze data
Ability to work in a fast paced, result oriented environment within tight time constraints
Must comply with all work rules, policies and procedures
Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs on a regular basis
May require working under high temperature conditions periodically
Must comply with all safety rules and regulations
Must successfully complete all required training

Pay: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
