Find your future with us.Boeing Global Services (BGS) is seeking a Mid Level Facility Electrical Engineer to support our business in Chantilly, VA. This organization supports mission critical government programs.We are looking for an Electrical Engineer who will help us advance our electrical products, systems, and applications. Daily you will carry out various engineering tasks, such as performing calculations to ensure our systems meet the global safety standards and collaborating with technicians and computer programmers to solve emerging issues. You’ll also do research on manufacturing processes and analyze data and trends to build new products. Ultimately, you will improve our company’s products and processes and contribute to its growth!Position Responsibilities: Design, control, and implement electrical systems and productsDevelop manufacturing processes according to global engineering codes and standardsManage engineering projects and deliver them on timeDefine customer needs and requirementsEnsure that installations and applications are in line with customer needs and safety standardsCollaborate with engineers and technicians to design and apply new system processesPerform quality and performance analysis on new and legacy IT systemsSummarize data and report on test resultsExamine needs on new equipment, calculate costs and help prepare budgetsMonitor maintenance and inspection plansThis position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at our Chantilly, VA. location.This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. A final Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) U.S. Security Clearance with a Counterintelligence Polygraph Pre-Start is required.Security Clearance/Special Program Access or other Government Access Requirements are mandatory for this position.Basic Qualifications (Required Skill/Experience): Minimum 3 years of experience as a Facilities Electrical EngineerPreferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): Experience using SKM software Electrical Engineering degree FE or Professional Engineer license in the state of Virginia Experience working with U.S. Government customer A current active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) U.S. Security Clearance with an adjudicated Counterintelligence or Full Scope PolygraphTypical Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree and typically 5 or more years' experience in an engineering classification or a Master's degree with typically 3 or more years' experience in an engineering classification or a PhD degree with experience in an engineering classification. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.Relocation:Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position.
