Idea Administrative Coordinator Idea Administrative Coordinators provide clerical support to the principal(s), so that the principal can maximize his/her time due to reliable, efficient administrative support. By prioritized scheduling, streamlined communication, and thorough logistical preparation for events, the administrative assistant enables the principal(s) to maximize their impact in helping make college for all children a reality.Compensation for this role is set at an hourly rate ranging between $18.46 for 0 years of experience and $23.11.We offer a comprehensive benefits plan, covering the majority of the employee premium for the base medical plan and subsidizing the majority of costs for a spouse/domestic partner and children. Some of the special benefits we offer at IDEA include:Paid Family Leave: Eligible staff may receive up to 8 weeks of paid leave for the birth or adoption of a child, based on their tenure with the organization and caregiver designation.Tuition Reimbursement: Staff members may apply for up to 50% of tuition paid toward a qualifying degree program, up to $5,250 maximum per year subject to manager discretion and budget availability.Employee-Paid Mental/Behavioral Health: 5 face-to-face counseling sessions within a year, unlimited 24/7 telephonic counseling, and other work-life services available at no cost.Other benefits include dental and vision plans, disability, life insurance, parenting benefits, flexible spending account options, generous vacation time, referral bonuses, professional development, and an employer paid 403(b) retirement matching of up to 4% of your annual compensation. IDEA may offer a relocation allowance to defray the cost of moving for this role, if applicable.Qualifications:Education: High school diploma required, associate or bachelor's degree preferredExperience: 2+ years' experience working in an administrative support positionKnowledge and Skills:Familiarity with Microsoft OfficeProficient keyboarding skillsEffective organization, communication, and interpersonal skillsExceptional organizational skillsAbility to follow written instructionsExperience working in an administrative support positionAbility to think proactively and work with minimal directionAbility to pleasantly communicate with all levels of staff and the publicAccountabilities:Manage principal's correspondence, including answering incoming phone calls, emails, and lettersPlan, prepare, and update principal's calendarSchedule events and plan logistics for meetingsReconcile credit cards and prepare monthly expense reportsArrange substitute coverage and provide daily orientation for substitutes on attendance taking, lesson plans, emergency preparation, and daily scheduleCover the front office during receptionist lunch breaks or vacanciesProvide supervision during lunch/recess dutyComplete duty assignments during school dismissal (may include walker escorting, bus loading, car-rider loading, front office phone communication)Call families of absent students each dayCall families of absent students to schedule meetings with the principal or other leadership team members as needed based on student absence volumeCoordinate with campus leaders and grade level team leaders to ensure regular family communications occur through newsletters, social media, and school eventsOnboard new students and families throughout the year as needed on behalf of principalPrepare and manage employee break and supply rooms (may include organizing, decorating, restocking, or cleaning as needed)Receive deliveries and enter into purchasing system to ensure accurate and timely vendor paymentsComplete other duties as they arise or are needed by the principalWe look for Team and Family who embody the following values and characteristics:Believes and is committed to our mission and being an agent of change: that all students are capable of getting to and through collegeHas demonstrated effective outcomes and results, and wants to be held accountable for themHas a propensity for action, willing to make mistakes by doing in order to learn and improve quicklyWorks with urgency and purpose to drive student outcomesThrives in an entrepreneurial, high-growth environment; is comfortable with ambiguity and changeSeeks and responds well to feedback, which is shared often and freely across all levels of the organizationWorks through silos and forges strong cross-departmental relationships in order to achieve outcomesWe believe in education as a profession and hold ourselves to a high level of conduct, professionalism and behaviors as models for our colleagues and studentsAbout IDEA Public Schools:At IDEA Public Schools, we believe each and every child can go to college.
