POSITION SUMMARYCrestview Landscape is seeking a detail-oriented estimator with drafting skills to support its high-end custom residential landscape business. This role is central to the company's growth and expansion by increasing its capabilities to provide the highest level of service and support to its elite clientele. The ideal candidate must have a commitment to following policies & procedures, being thorough in their work, & always demonstrating professionalism along with having a flair for high level service & performance. Must enjoy working as part of a collaborative team in coming up with solutions & options that meet our client's / project's design and logistical needs. Due to the company's current growth trajectory, this can at times be fast paced where priorities can shift, deadlines still needing to be met, and above all accuracy is maintained. It's an exciting position with lots of development potential, exposure to amazing projects, and advancement not only from a career standpoint, but also one of compensation growth as well.CORE RESPONSIBILITIESEstimatingWork with company AI software to accurately take off plans and prepare budgetsWork with the estimating and production teams as well as vendors in putting together comprehensive bids / proposalsVisit jobsites to review logistics and learn "how the field" performs installations.DraftingWork with the sales & production teams in generating plans that support our client's needs.Prepare drawings associated with irrigation, planting, hardscape, lighting, etc. Direction to be provided by our staff depending upon the various needs at the time.Update drawings as changes in the field happen such as areas being redesigned, creating as builds, or simply providing greater detail and clarity to the production crews.SKILLS, COMPETENCIES & PERSONAL ATTRIBUTESOrganizational ExcellenceAbility to manage multiple projects and shift from one to the next as timelines change.Maintains clean, accurate, and accessible records at all times - digital and physical.Proactively builds systems & checklists to stay ahead of the workload rather than react to it.Accuracy & Attention to DetailUnderstands that wrong materials or quantities can cost the company thousands in the field.Double-checks quantities, specs, unit pricing, & delivery details before finalizing a proposal.Thinks outside the box and doesn't just focus on what's listed.....but also what is missing.Sense of Urgency / ResolveComfortable working in an environment where priorities shift, last-minute changes are common, and the unexpected is expected.Does not wait to be reminded.
