Supplier Quality Engineer

Supplier Engineer opportunity. Seeking applicants with a blend of experience to include manufacturing, supply chain and government acquisitions experience. Applicants must be familiar with FARS/DFARS/ITAR/DCMA compliance. Seeking applicants government contract compliance & supply chain risk, seeking applicants well versed in subcontractor flow down requirements, supplier qualification and negotiation experience. This person will be the lead program manager for implementation and management of the DoD military and government contracting process.What you will do: Support Program Launch and Product Realization as functional department representative assigned to team and Program Manager Review program information to understand application, product intent and functionality and overall product requirements to ensure customer specifications communicated to suppliers address all needs.Review customer specifications and drawings and ensure sufficient to communicate required specifications for purchase parts to suppliers.Identify certification, traceability, environmental or other regulatory requirements for all components procured.Identify, source and qualify suppliers and negotiate supplier agreements.Secure necessary supplier Non-Disclosure AgreementsNegotiate component costs, lead times, terms and conditions for initial purchasesCommunicate customer requirements and supplier capabilityConfirm supplier warranty termsAssist with preparation of Process Flow Diagrams, Failure Mode Effective Analysis and Control PlanAssist suppliers with validation protocol design and final approval as requiredDesired Experience Familiarity with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) as they apply to government contract program execution Understanding of subcontracting management principles, including the flow-down of applicable FAR/DFARS clauses to subcontractorsUnderstanding of prime contractor obligations when managing subcontractors on federal programsUnderstanding of the requirements for Supply Chain Risk Management (SCRM) for government contractsUnderstanding of the requirements to develop, implement, and comply with a Small Business Subcontracting Plan
