As a PCA/Homemaker, you will be responsible for providing support and assistance to individuals with disabilities.Responsibilities:Provide direct care and support to individuals with disabilities in a respectful and compassionate mannerAssist individuals with daily living activities such as transferring, bathing, dressing, grooming, and toiletingAssist individuals with tasks including laundry, cleaning around the house, and preparing mealsAbility to use the Electronic Verification Visit App to log hours and servicesCaring Professionals Homecare is an equal employment opportunity company that does not discriminate based on age, race and or gender.Requirements:Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidaysAbility to lift and transfer individuals as neededExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamAbility to pass a MN Dept of Human Services background checkHave not been excluded from participating in Federal or State Healthcare ProgramsAbility to complete Orientation online or a combination of in-person and onlineAn open mind and a caring demeanorComplete required PCA certification through the Department of Human ServicesMust be able to stand, walk, bend, and stoop down to clean and to care for clientsMust be able to exert up to 40 pounds of force to move objectsThe offered wage for this position is based on experience. Employees with no experience working as a caregiver, who are considered Tier 1 according to the Department of Human Services (DHS), will be paid starting at $17 per hour. Employees with 1-3 years experience working as a caregiver, who are considered Tier 2 according to the Department of Human Services (DHS), will be paid starting at $18 per hour. As employees work with Caring Professionals Homecare over time, they will move up in tier levels and could potentially qualify for higher wages.Preferred Qualifications:Experience working with individuals with disabilities or vulnerable adultsWe offer competitive pay, comprehensive benefits, and opportunities for professional growth and development.
