Provides guidance and direction to a HVAC sheet metal crew consisting of journeymen, mechanics, and apprentices/helpers working under him/her. Ensures job quality and customer satisfaction is maintained at every project stage. Strong relationship building skills with crew, clients, customers, and vendors to cultivate a positive work environment. In addition to supervisory responsibility, this position is that of a working foreman, responsible for directly performing a wide range of skilled construction tasks.Essential FunctionsDirects the installation, modification, and repair of HVAC sheet metal and related systems, and equipmentStudies specifications, BIM Model, contract documents, and schedule to plan procedures for construction including staffing and scheduling for every phase of projectAssembles members of organization (supervisory, clerical, engineering, and other workers) throughout a projectResponsible for performing a wide range of skilled construction tasksDirects and confers with work force and subcontractors engaged in planning and executing work procedures, interpreting specifications, and coordinating various phases of construction to prevent delaysConfers with supervisory, engineering personnel, inspectors and suppliers of tools and materials to resolve construction problems and improve construction methodsAttends, as needed, all job site and office meetings related to assigned tasksThis is skilled supervisory work in directing the installation, modification, and repair of HVAC Sheet Metal and related systems, and equipmentPerforms other duties as assignedSupervisory Responsibility: YesRequired5+ years of commercial experience in HVAC sheet metal operations field; or equivalent combination of vocational training and experiencePrior experience as a HVAC Sheet Metal foremanProven ability to effectively manage and lead teams of 8 to 10 individuals, ensuring high productivity, team cohesion, and successful project outcomesExtensive knowledge of all HVAC sheet metal systems installationWork within precise limits or standards of accuracyMust be able to multi-task, work with minimal supervision, follow written and oral instructions, show attention to detail, and demonstrate problem-solving skillsMust adhere to all company policy and proceduresMust be available, and have the means to report to multiple job sites as assignedWork EnvironmentThe work environment and physical demands required would be representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job, and may include, but are not limited to the following:May work in varying temperatures; both inside and outside, including inclement weather, heat, humidity, cold, and dampnessMay work in areas with exposure to moderate/high noise levelsMay be exposed to fumes or airborne particles including dustMay be required to work in confined spaces or from high heightsPhysical DemandsThis role routinely uses construction equipment such as heavy machinery, hand and power tools While performing duties of the job the employee may work aloft, climb, bend, pull, reach overhead, stand/walk for long periods of time and lift up to 50 lbs.Frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; and reach with hands and armsMust be able to correctly identify all colors of a color-coded cable/wires and see close vision, distance vision, depth perception, peripheral vision and ability to adjust focusTravelMay require travel PreferredCPR certifiedOSHA 30 certifiedPrior military experienceHS diploma or GED equivalentVisit us at www.acibuilds.com for more information!Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.An Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer Sheet Metal Foreman
