Learning Technologist IIThe Learning Technologist II works closely with faculty to design, implement, and enhance technology-driven teaching and learning experiences, with a strong emphasis on integrating advanced AI tools and digital platforms into curriculum delivery. The role requires deep expertise in emerging technologies and the ability to translate this knowledge to practice alongside faculty in all academic disciplines.Partner with faculty to design, develop, and enhance courses through the effective integration of instructional technologies, emphasis on AI-enabled tools, to improve teaching effectiveness and student learning outcomes.Provide training, consultation, and ongoing support to faculty on the use of digital tools and emerging technologies, ensuring adoption of best practices in technology-enhanced pedagogy.Evaluate, implement, and support instructional technologies and AI applications, including troubleshooting technical issues and optimizing system performance to ensure reliable delivery of academic instruction.Provide and deliver workshops, resources, and webinars to build faculty capacity in the use of educational technologies and innovative teaching strategies.Analyze instructional needs and assess the effectiveness of technology-enhanced learning initiatives, using data and feedback to recommend improvements and guide decision-making.Collaborate with IT, CDLI, faculty, Learning Technologist I, and SMEs to support faculty, online learning environments, and institution-wide technology initiatives.Stay current with emerging trends in AI, instructional technology, and higher education, and translate these developments into practical applications for faculty and academic programs.Ensure compliance with accessibility standards, data privacy regulations, and system and institutional policies in the use of instructional technologies and AI/digital learning tools.Knowledge of emerging educational technologies, including AI-driven tools and digital pedagogy best practices.Knowledge of instructional design principles and their application to technology-enhanced learning in higher education.Skill in supporting and training faculty on the effective integration of AI and instructional technologies into teaching and course development.Skill in troubleshooting, supporting, and optimizing AI-related instructional technologies and multimedia tools.Skill in communicating complex technical and AI concepts in clear, accessible ways to diverse audiences.Ability to analyze faculty and student needs at a campus-wide level and recommend innovative, technology-based solutions that improve learning outcomes and operational efficiency.Ability to design and deliver workshops, learning resources, and one-on-one consultations focused on AI and emerging educational technologies.Ability to remain current with rapidly evolving AI and technology trends and translate them into practical, institution-appropriate applications.A bachelor's degree in instructional technology, information technology, applied artificial intelligence, curriculum and instruction or a comparable field, along with at least three (3) years of professional experience supporting instructional technologies in a higher education or comparable learning environment, with at least one of those years demonstrating deep AI knowledge and application.Experience must include working directly with faculty to design or enhance courses using AI & digital tools, providing training or consultation on emerging technologies (including AI applications), and troubleshooting instructional technology issues to support effective teaching and learning outcomes.A master's degree, Ph.D. or Ed.D. in instructional technology, information technology, applied artificial intelligence, or a comparable field. Preference will be given to applicants with relevant and current micro-credentials or certificates that reflect competence in digital teaching and instruction.
