Together, we reimagine good mornings and endless summers, strive for more sustainable ways to beautify and bond, and do it all with not only confidence but determination.Position Title: Packaging Operator IEssential Job Functions:Packaging Operators are required to pack product in boxes on the line, set-up materials, film, labels, cartons, etc.Required to know the quality aspects of the products and be able to recognize defectsPerform hourly quality checks as specified by Edgewell SOPsAdhere to Safety/OSHA/GMP/FDA requirementsHousekeeping/Lean/5-SPerform other lead/supervisor directed tasksProper use/handling of chemicals for cleaning and sanitizingOperate equipment in a safe and timely mannerResults Expected:Produce products while meeting all production and quality standards according to Edgewell SOPs and FDA compliancePerform quality checks according to SOPs and safety protocolsAssist with the preparation, assembly, or packaging of products in compliance with FDA regulationsPerform in-process inspections and report any deviations or quality issuesMaintain accurate production records and batch documentation (Good Documentation Practices GDP)Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), sanitation procedures, and safety guidelinesParticipate in daily cleaning and setup of equipment and workstationsSupport changeovers as neededCollaborate with team members and shift supervisors to meet production goalsCommunicate any equipment malfunctions or process concerns in a timely mannerUphold a clean and organized workspace to ensure regulatory complianceOperate and monitor manufacturing equipment according to SOPs and safety protocolsKnowledge and Skill Requirement:High school diploma or equivalentBasic math & data entry skillsMechanical abilityAbility to function and communicate within a fast-paced team environment to meet production ratesGood hand/eye coordinationBe able to multi-task efficientlyWork safelyAble to read a rulerAble to use military time to complete checksPay attention to minor detailsTime management skillsPhysical Requirements:Must be able to see well enough to inspect product to read date codesMust be able to stand for long periodsMust be able to walkMust be able to climb using a step ladder and climbMust be able to lift 5-35 lbs. frequently; periodically up to 50 lbs.Must be able to grip/grasp frequentlyMust be able to communicate effectively within a team environmentAbility to read, understand, and follow written procedures and safety instructionsEdgewell is an equal opportunity employer.
