CALIBRATION TECHNICIANThis position plays a critical role in supporting our high-precision metrology lab by performing in-house calibrations and assisting with the repair of laser-based measurement systems.Key ResponsibilitiesCalibrate high-precision laser measurement systems and other instruments per documented proceduresReceive and check in customer equipment for calibrationComplete accurate documentation (digital and/or paper) for all work performedAssist with proper packaging and shipment of equipment to customersMaintain a clean and safe lab environmentSupport the shipment of equipment to and from field engineers and customersCommunicate inventory needs to Supervisor/ManagerCollaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations and customer satisfactionRequirementsAssociate degree or equivalent requiredCoursework or interest in mechatronics, electronics, or mechanical systems preferredExperience with optical or electro-mechanical assembly a plusFamiliarity with hand tools and measurement tools (e.g., calipers, multimeters, micrometers)Understanding of calibration traceability and industry best practicesBasic skills in Microsoft Word and ExcelStrong attention to detail, organizational, and math skillsEffective written and verbal communication
