Security & Vulnerability Analyst

We are working with a successful Agency in Austin, Texas, to find a Security & Vulnerability Analyst to join a small team.The project is to analyze the Agency's front-end systems to identify architectural pitfalls, map and detect endpoints, and conduct vulnerability studies across integrated platforms — For example, taking a close look at the risks introduced by SharePoint integrations used across all systems. This is a Security/Infrastructure project, and you will work directly with the Senior Engineers already on the team.So, analyzing and discovering threats before they become events is the focus here rather than fixing them once they are events. We are looking for 3-5 years of commercial experience in a SOC or ISO environment.The ideal candidate will be able to work autonomously on this project and collaborate with the Senior Engineers already on the team. You will have great communication skills, and most importantly, you will be a hands-on Analyst experienced in front-end architecture review, endpoint detection, and application/system vulnerability assessment.This is a contract position. You will need to be and will be based in Austin, or commutable to Austin. This position is on-site Monday through Friday.ResponsibilitiesAnalyze front-end systems and architecture to identify pitfalls, weak points, and exposed endpointsPerform endpoint detection and mapping across the Agency's systemsConduct vulnerability studies, including real-world/example-based assessments of identified risksEvaluate vulnerabilities associated with SharePoint integrations, given that all systems integrate with SharePointDocument findings and provide clear, actionable recommendations to the Senior Engineering teamBonus pointsAny Government experience is a big plusPrior experience with SharePoint security/administrationBackground in application security, penetration testing, or vulnerability assessmentFamiliarity with endpoint detection and response (EDR) toolingBenefitsIf this position is of interest, please forward your most up-to-date resume highlighting your relevant skills.Pay rate: $45-$55/hrSchedule: On-site, Monday-FridayThis will be a W2 contract, and we cannot sponsor or engage C2C
