Assembly Technician
Description:The Assembly Technician is responsible for assembling mechanical, electrical, or electronic components according to specifications, drawings, and work instructions. This role ensures products meet quality standards, production schedules, and safety requirements.Requirements:Key Responsibilities Assemble parts and sub-assemblies using hand tools, power tools, and assembly equipmentFollow work instructions, blueprints, schematics, and assembly drawingsPerform quality checks to ensure assemblies meet specifications and standardsIdentify and report defects, shortages, or process issues to supervisorsTest assembled components for functionality when requiredMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work areaMeet daily production goals and adhere to deadlinesFollow all safety policies, procedures, and quality standardsDocument work performed as required (checklists, travelers, logs)Assist with rework, repairs, or continuous improvement initiativesQualifications High school diploma or GED (technical certification a plus)Previous assembly or manufacturing experience preferredAbility to read and understand work instructions, blueprints, or schematicsBasic mechanical aptitude and attention to detailAbility to use hand tools and basic measuring devicesStrong teamwork and communication skillsPhysical RequirementsStanding: This is an essential job function/physical requirement.Walking: This is an essential job function/physical requirement.Turning, twisting, bending, and stooping-These physical requirements are essential job functions.Pushing and Pulling- These physical requirements are essential job functions.Reaching, forward, and overhead are essential job functions /physical requirements.Lifting - employees must lift 25 pounds and occasionally 50-75 pounds.Benefits:Quarterly Bonus401(k) matching at 90-day vested 100%Dental insuranceHealth insuranceVision insuranceLife Insurance, STD, LTDSchedule:Day shift - 6 am-2:30pm-Monday-FridaySecond Shift 2:30 pm-1:00 am Monday-Thursday (10% differential )Foresight Technologies is an equal opportunity employer.
