Teaches undergraduate dental hygiene courses. Conducts and reports on outcomes assessment. Serves as a faculty advisor for undergraduate students. Delivers courses in both synchronous and asynchronous distance education formats to include day and evening courses. Engages in professional, university, and public service. Coordinates clinical and/or laboratory courses. Co-advises the YSU Student Chapter of the American Dental Hygienists' Association.Position InformationPlans, organizes, teaches, and provides feedback to promote and direct student success. Responds to students in a timely manner. Multiple Locations.Qualifications and CompetenciesRequired Certifications, Training, and/or Licensures: Current Ohio Dental Hygiene License.Minimum Qualifications: At least a master's degree in dental hygiene or a related field; at least two years of clinical experience as a dental hygienist; teaching experience in a dental hygiene program; and current Ohio Dental Hygiene License.Preferred Qualifications: Certification in local anesthesia and nitrous oxide administration and monitoring. Currently registered Expanded Function Dental Auxiliary (EFDA) in the state of Ohio. Experience preparing students for board exams. Experience managing a clinical facility including inventory control and equipment maintenance. Experience coordinating clinical placements/community events. Experience teaching at the undergraduate level using Blackboard Ultra or similar learning management system and maintaining curriculum management. An active member of the American Dental Hygienists' Association. Computer literate in Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Dentrix, and Blackboard or similar learning platforms.Supplemental InformationPlease upload all transcripts as one PDF file.At time of hire, all candidates must provide official transcripts.
