Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification and 1+ years Pharmacy Technician experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.This opportunity is for an experienced Pharmacy Technician seeking a per diem role with a flexible but consistent schedule. The position supports a retail/outpatient hospital pharmacy in the Greensburg, IN area, just southeast of Indianapolis. The pharmacy has been actively searching for a reliable PRN technician who prefers part-time hours rather than full-time, and this role offers predictable shifts approximately 2-3 times every two weeks with flexible scheduling accommodations.Typical shifts are first shift hours, generally between 9:00 AM and 7:00 PM, Monday through Friday. Experience with PioneerRX pharmacy system is preferred, though comprehensive training will be provided if needed.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare and dispense medications accurately under pharmacist supervisionMeasure, count, label, and record medication dosagesType, process, and file new and refill prescriptions, while managing insurance claims and rejected prescriptionsMaintain and manage pharmacy inventory, including removing outdated medications and handling uncollected prescriptionsPerform cashiering duties and provide excellent customer service including answering phones, assisting with OTC purchases, filing prescriptions, and balancing registerDesired QualificationsLicensed Pharmacy Technician in IndianaPTCB certification preferredRecent pharmacy technician experience in a retail or outpatient settingStrong team player with excellent attention to detail and customer service skillsThis contract role allows for work-life balance with guaranteed consistent hours despite being PRN.
