Catalyst Engineer
*Role Overview:*
We are seeking an experienced Consulting Engineer to support a high-profile enterprise networking engagement. This individual will serve as a subject matter expert in enterprise routing, switching, and network automation, working closely with the client's professional services delivery team to design, implement, and optimize large-scale Catalyst-based network environments. This is a highly visible role requiring strong technical depth, consulting acumen, and consistent onsite client engagement.
*Key Responsibilities:*
* Lead the design and delivery of end-to-end enterprise networking solutions, including Catalyst Switching, Catalyst Center (DNAC), and automation-based deployments
* Provide hands-on consulting (onsite and remote) supporting a single enterprise customer's network services engagement
* Influence customer decisions on IT, operations, and technology strategy to achieve desired business outcomes
* Drive standardization of processes, performance metrics, and best-practice adoption to improve delivery efficiency
* Serve as a technical escalation point, partnering with engineering teams to resolve complex, critical customer issues
* Identify renewal and upsell opportunities tied to technology lifecycle and customer strategy
* Mentor other technical consultants and contribute to talent development within the delivery team
* Independently apply judgment and experience to resolve complex networking problems requiring in-depth analysis, innovative troubleshooting, and experimentation
* Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
*Required Qualifications:*
* Bachelor's degree in a technical field (CS/EE preferred) or equivalent, plus 8+ years of related experience
* 10+ years of experience in customer-centric network solution design and service delivery
* Expert-level (CCIE) knowledge of Enterprise Catalyst networking technologies
* At least 8 years of experience in client-facing consulting roles, with demonstrated ability to influence customer decisions and build trust quickly
* Moderate to advanced knowledge of software programmability, automation, orchestration, virtualization, and/or security
* Strong knowledge of Campus Networking environments
* Ability to work independently in ambiguous situations, exercising sound technical judgment
* Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
* Willingness and ability to work onsite 2–3 days per week at the client location
* Ability to travel approximately 10–25% of the time
*Preferred Qualifications:*
* Cisco DevNet certification
* Additional CCIE track(s) (e.g., Security) beyond Enterprise
* 3–5 years leading large-scale enterprise design and implementation engagements
* Experience with network programmability and automation (Python, Ansible)
* Working knowledge of Wireless and ISE technologies
* Familiarity with Network Segmentation and TrustSec

Pay: $60.00 - $65.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 per week
