Weld Engineer

Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled Weld Engineer to join our innovative manufacturing and engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing welding processes for complex mechanical and structural components. This role requires a strong foundation in mechanical engineering principles, advanced knowledge of welding techniques, and proficiency with CAD software and simulation tools. The Weld Engineer will collaborate across cross-functional teams to ensure manufacturing excellence, adherence to industry standards, and the successful execution of mechanical product development projects. Required · 5+ years of experience developing and qualifying WPS, PQR, and WPQ documentation · Current AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification. · Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, schematics, and diagrams. · Proficiency with welding codes and standards (e.g., AWS D1.1 / D1.2 /D1.3/ D1.6, B2.1/ASME Section IX). · Strong working knowledge of welding processes: FCAW, GMAW, and GTAW. · Working knowledge of NDT methods (UT, RT, MT, PT, VT) and weld inspection criteria ASNT TC-1-A Nice To Have · Certified ISO 9001 Lead Auditor · Experience in Industrial Manufacturing and Metal Fabrication · Experience with on-site audit inspections · knowledge with Lean Six Sigma #GRPA Job Disclaimer: Equal Opportunity Employer/Veterans/Disabled Benefit offerings include medical, dental, vision, term life insurance, short-term disability insurance, additional voluntary benefits, commuter benefits and 401K plan.
