Quality Assurance Automation Engineer

We are seeking a skilled QA Automation Engineer with strong experience in modern web application testing and automation. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in Playwright and hands-on experience testing applications built with React, .NET, and Microsoft PowerApps. Exposure to Python-based automation frameworks, cloud environments, and federal projects—particularly NIH—is highly desirable. The ability to obtain and retain a public trust clearance is required for consideration. This is a hybrid role based in Bethesda, MD. Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks using Playwright.Build scalable, maintainable test scripts for UI, API, and end-to-end testing.Test applications developed with React, .NET, and PowerApps.Collaborate closely with developers, product owners, and DevOps teams.Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using GitHub.Analyze test results, identify defects, and track issues to resolution using Jira.Support testing efforts in AWS cloud environments.Maintain test documentation and artifacts in SharePoint.Ensure compliance with accessibility standards, including Section 508Required QualificationsBachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or equivalent experience5+ years of QA automation experienceStrong expertise in Playwright (JavaScript/TypeScript preferred)Experience testing React and .NET applications.Hands-on experience with PowerApps testingProficiency in Python for automation or scriptingExperience with GitHub, Jira, AWS, and Entra (Azure AD)Preferred QualificationsExperience supporting NIH or other federal projects.API testing experience (Postman, REST clients)Knowledge of performance, security, and accessibility (ADA/Section 508) testingFamiliarity with Agile/Scrum methodologiesExperience with Docker and DevSecOps practicesCompensation:Salary Range: $120,000 – $130,000 annually (commensurate with experience)Benefits: Health, dental, and vision insurance; 401(k) with employer match; paid time off; professional development opportunities.
