Description
TheGSE Mechanicis responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing Ground Support Equipment (GSE) to ensure safe, reliable, and operationally ready equipment and facilities. This role supports daily FBO operations by maintaining diesel engines, hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems, and works closely with the Line Service teams to support safe, efficient aircraft ground handling operations.GSE Maintenance & RepairInspect, diagnose, and repair ground support equipment, including diesel, hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systemsPerform corrective maintenance on downed or malfunctioning equipmentOperate and service a wide range of GSE, including tugs, tow bars, GPUs, air start units, belt loaders, floor machines, LAV carts, and forkliftsMaintain equipment readiness to support safe and efficient daily operationsPreventative Maintenance & Asset ManagementEstablish, implement, and maintain a preventative maintenance schedule (PMS) for ground support equipment and fuel farm assetsPerform routine inspections and document maintenance activities in accordance with established proceduresMaintain inventory of required parts and fluids, consistent with preventative maintenance schedules and guidance from General ManagementSafety, Compliance & QualityComply with all Company policies and procedures related to GSE standards, safety, and securityPromote a strong safety culture through daily observations, routine audits, safety meetings, and trainingSupport the use of the Baldwin Safety Management System (SMS)Ensure all maintenance activities are completed safely and in compliance with applicable standardsCommunication & TeamworkDevelop and maintain effective working relationships with Line Service, Operations, and other internal teamsCommunicate equipment status, maintenance needs, and safety concerns clearly and timelyPerform additional duties as assigned by the General ManagerPhysical Requirements & ScheduleAbility to perform frequent walking, sitting, stooping, stretching, bending, reaching, and graspingAbility to perform physically demanding maintenance tasksMay be required to work nights, weekends, and holidays as operational needs requireQualifications
Minimum ofthree (3) years of experienceperforming maintenance on FBO or similar ground support equipmentMust have a valid driver's license.Ability to operate a variety of aircraft ground support equipmentAbility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as operational needs requireStrong commitment to safety, quality, and operational resultsProficiency with Microsoft Office and basic computer systemsPreferred QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalentCustomer service experienceFBO or aviation industry experienceForklift experience preferredWorking conditions and physical demands for this role -While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts.
