Summary of the Position: This is an hourly, part-time position providing mentorship and advocacy for youth and families throughout Lewiston and Auburn.
The ideal candidate will be dependable, committed, and able to serve as a positive role model for youth in community, school, and home settings.
The Primary responsibilities of the Advocate are to initiate, organize, plan, develop and implement direct advocacy services to assigned participants and their families.
All service plans will be based on a strength-based approach using the wrap around model.
This position offers flexible hours, competitive weekly pay, mileage ($0.50/mile), and activity reimbursement.
Hourly Rate: $21 per hour
Qualifications/Requirements:
Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
Prior experience in community work and knowledge of community resources.
Experience working with at-risk youth
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Knowledge of Microsoft Office and computer skills is highly preferred; knowledge of electronic health record systems (EHR) is a plus.
CPR/First Aid Certification is a plus
Bilingual (Spanish Speaking) is a plus.
Position requires reliable transportation, driver's license, and current auto insurance coverage.
