Contract Python Developer (Greater Chicago Area)
Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Python Developer with strong machine learning model knowledge and proven experience designing and delivering complex graphics applications. The ideal candidate brings advanced capabilities in SAM 3 segmentation, OpenCV, and Depth Anything V2, along with experience refining Google Gemini prompts, and can integrate computer vision output into interactive 3D visualization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and deliver complex graphics applications in Python
- Implement and optimize computer vision pipelines using SAM 3 segmentation, OpenCV, and Depth Anything V2Develop and refine Google Gemini prompts to improve model output and application performance
- Integrate 3D engines and visualization frameworks such as Three.js, WebGL, and WebGPU pipelines
- Translate machine learning models into stable, production-ready features
- Provide senior technical leadership on architecture, code quality, and delivery
- Collaborate with product, design, and engineering stakeholders to meet project goals
Qualifications:
- 8+ years of software engineering experience 4+ years in a Senior Developer role
- Advanced proficiency in PythonStrong working knowledge of machine learning models
- Hands-on experience with SAM 3 segmentation, OpenCV, and Depth Anything V2Experience with Google Gemini prompt refinement
- Experience integrating 3D engines or visualization frameworks (e.g., Three.js, WebGL/WebGPU pipelines)
- Demonstrated experience delivering complex graphics or visualization applications
Nice to Have:
- Experience with earlier SAM versions (SAM, SAM 2) or other segmentation models
- Background in 3D reconstruction, point clouds, or AR/VRExperience with other large language or vision-language models
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
