The experienced and highly skilled nurses in the ED provide care to patients that have been in accidents or have medical emergencies that need immediate attention. The new spacious, state-of-the-art Emergency Department features 44 beds in over 45,000 square feet with completely new entrances, a sun-filled reception area, a convenient imaging suite, pharmacy, fast-track area, behavioral health suite, private treatment rooms, and family waiting and consultation areas. Lahey Hospital & Medical Center utilizes complete computerized charting (EPIC) for patient assessment and care documentation, and to electronically record medication administration for the delivery of all medications provided to their patients.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide emergency nursing care to patients in accidents or experiencing medical emergencies requiring immediate attentionPerform patient assessment and documentation using EPIC computerized charting systemElectronically record medication administrationFloat between Peabody and Main Campus locations as neededEducation RequirementsMassachusetts (MA) registered nurse license requiredBLS/ACLS AHA certification requiredRequired ExperienceMinimum 2 years of nursing experience requiredLevel 1 trauma experience requiredEpic experience requiredMust have been separated from BILH (Beth Israel Lahey Health) for at least 6 months to be considered (applies to permanent, per diem, and contract positions)Work Environment / Physical Requirements12-hour night shifts requiredEvery other weekend required2 holiday shifts requiredWill float between Peabody and Main CampusExcessive time off will not be considered, especially around the holidaysBenefitsMedical, Vision, and Dental Insurance Plans401k Retirement FundImportant NotesDay 1 pass/fail orientation exam will be administered during orientation.
