BaristaWe are seeking a friendly, energetic, and customer-focused Barista to join our team. The Barista will be responsible for preparing and serving a variety of beverages, including coffee and tea, maintaining a clean and welcoming environment, and delivering exceptional customer service.ResponsibilitiesGreet customers warmly and take orders accuratelyPrepare and serve coffee, tea, and specialty beverages according to company recipes and standardsOperate coffee equipment (espresso machines, grinders, brewers) safely and efficientlyMaintain a clean and organized workspace, including counters and equipmentHandle customer payments through POS system and online ordering platformRestock supplies and ingredients as needed throughout the shiftFollow health, safety, and sanitation guidelinesAddress customer inquiries, resolve complaints, and escalate concerns to the manager when necessaryAssist with opening and closing duties, including cleaning and inventory tasksWork collaboratively with team members to ensure smooth daily operationsSkills/ExperienceMust pass a Chicago Department of Aviation/Homeland Security background checkFood handler, allergen and alcohol awareness certificates are requiredPrevious barista or customer service experience preferred but not required - we are willing to train the right candidate!Strong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detailPositive attitude, reliability, and a team-oriented mindsetAvailable to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidaysAbility to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.BenefitsCompetitive hourly wage + tips, free employee lunch, employee discounts, opportunities for growth & advancement, health insurance, dental insurance & vision insurance
