Job DescriptionThe Business Banking Customer Service Representative is responsible for reviewing and processing Business Banking packets and maintenance documents. He or she assists the Business Banking Officers with backup duties for sales and service; provides high quality and professional service to management, coworkers, and customers; promotes Merchant Service Products to new and existing customers; and is responsible for Remote Deposit Capture installation and service. In addition, the Business Banking Customer Service Representative completes all Level 1 and RDC Annual Reviews.QualificationsMust be at least 18 years oldHigh school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school preferredOne to three years of experience in treasury/business bankingAccurate and attentive to detailWell organizedGood typing skillsWilling and able to help othersAble to use a computer, adding machine, copy machine, and basic business equipmentAble to get along well with coworkersAble to use the Internet and e-mail and demonstrate an understanding of Microsoft Office products and usageResponsibilitiesComposes, types, and assembles a variety of documents including memos, letters, and reportsReviews and analyzes bank documents such as checking account and merchant service statementsMakes timely decisions and responds quickly while adhering to bank service and compliance standardsProactively collaborates with Business Banking officer to manage customer portfolios; assists with identifying action plans within each specific portfolio, including advanced planning on annual level assessment reviews in alignment with bank priorities and policiesAssists the Business Banking officer with backup duties for sales and serviceAssists Business Banking officer with setting up equipment and troubleshooting issuesReceives and screens visitors and telephone calls and either notifies staff members or records and relays messagesPerforms general clerical duties such as scanning, photocopying, faxing, mailing and filing, asking for assistance from Business Banking officers and areas of support as neededAssumes responsibility for establishing and maintaining effective business relations with clients, vendors, and other business professionalsResolves or appropriately refers questions, requests, or concerns; answers routine questions; and seamlessly directs and refers customers to appropriate bank experts as necessaryObtains and communicates information as neededMaintains confidentiality in all aspects of positionParticipates in customer calls with Business Banking officer and other team membersCoordinates and schedules appointmentsAssists with contacting prospects, customers, and growth opportunitiesActively seeks and refers new Business Banking and merchant services businessAssumes responsibility for establishing and maintaining effective communication, coordination, and working relations with area staff and with managementReviews various packages for Business Banking officers, reviewing information skillfully and ensuring thorough and accurate documentsMonitors information received according to a Business Banking checklist to ensure proper supporting documentation and adherence to rate and pricing guidelinesEnters information into internal tracking system including the responsible cash management officer, purpose of document, filing, etc.Maintains the professional reputation of D.L. Evans BankPromotes D.L. Evans Bank at all timesServes as a representative of D.L. Evans Bank and participates in community activitiesCompletes special projects as assignedCompany DescriptionD.L.
