Sr. Chemical Engineer

Job DescriptionA power generation company operating in U.S. wholesale energy markets is seeking a Sr. Chemical Engineer to lead critical engineering functions supporting safe, efficient, and reliable operations. This role plays a key part in maintaining operational excellence while supporting a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performance workplace culture.The ideal candidate brings a strong background in chemistry and water treatment within a power plant or municipal/government utility environment and is comfortable operating in a hands-on, technically focused leadership role.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee engineering and technical services supporting power generation operationsLead and manage chemistry and water treatment programs to ensure regulatory compliance and system reliabilityProvide technical guidance related to plant chemistry, water systems, and treatment processesSupport safe, efficient operations aligned with industry and environmental standardsCollaborate cross-functionally with operations, maintenance, and leadership teamsDrive continuous improvement initiatives related to performance, safety, and cost efficiencyQualifications5-7 years of experience in chemistry and water treatment within a power plant or municipal/government utility settingBachelor's degree in Engineering required; advanced degree preferredStrong technical knowledge of water treatment systems, chemistry control, and regulatory complianceProven ability to work independently while collaborating across departmentsLeadership experience or demonstrated potential to lead technical teamsCompensation & BenefitsCompetitive base salary: $120,000-$130,000Annual bonus structureShort-term and long-term incentive programsComprehensive benefits package including 401(k), health, dental, and vision insuranceGenerous PTO policyFull relocation assistanceLocation & LifestyleLocated in Southeastern Montana, this role offers an exceptional quality of life for outdoor enthusiasts, including access to fishing, hunting, hiking, golfing, ATV riding, and more.
