As a woman-owned business grounded in cooperation, participatory management, and ethical practices, VV views itself as both a business and a driver of social, economic, and environmental change.Role Description This is a full-time, on-site CDL A Truck Driver role based in San Francisco, CA. The CDL A Truck Driver safely transports organic produce to customers on established regional routes, ensuring on-time deliveries and professional customer interactions at each stop. Responsibilities include performing pre- and post-trip inspections, securing loads, maintaining accurate delivery documentation, and following all DOT, safety, and food-handling regulations. The driver loads and unloads pallets or cases as needed, verifies orders against invoices, reports product or delivery issues, and keeps the assigned vehicle clean and in good working order. The role also involves communicating with dispatch regarding route changes or delays and collaborating with warehouse and operations teams to support efficient, reliable distribution.QualificationsValid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL A) with a clean driving record and current medical certificate.Proven experience with regional or local route driving, including safe operation of tractor-trailers and backing in tight urban and rural locations.Strong knowledge of DOT regulations, hours-of-service rules, and standard safety procedures for commercial drivers.Ability to perform vehicle inspections, basic troubleshooting, and report maintenance needs promptly.Capacity to lift, move, and maneuver boxes and pallets of produce; comfortable with manual or electric pallet jacks and lift gates (or willingness to learn).Reliable time management, attention to detail with manifests and delivery paperwork, and basic math skills for counting and verifying product.Professional, courteous customer service and clear communication skills with customers, dispatch, and coworkers.Commitment to safe food handling, product quality, and careful load securement to prevent damage.Interest in or appreciation for organic food, sustainability, and ethical business practices.Ability to work a flexible schedule, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.High school diploma or equivalent preferred; bilingual abilities preferred.Why choose VV?·        Competitive pay: $25-$30/hourly DOE, flexible, and generous home time·        Guaranteed hours: 40 hours weekly, plus overtime·        Consistent routes and scheduling: We service California and parts of Arizona, Colorado, Nevada, and New Mexico.
