CertificationsBasic Life Support (BLS) - requiredAdvanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) - requiredPediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) - requiredCompletion of a critical care training course is preferred (e.g., Essentials of Critical Care Orientation [ECCO] through the American Association of Critical Care Nurses), but not required.ExperienceMinimum of two (2) years of nursing experience, with at least one (1) year in a critical care setting consisting of four or more beds.At least one year of critical care experience must have been within the past 24 months.LicensureCurrent, full, active, and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the United States.DutiesCoordinate and deliver comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients in collaboration with multidisciplinary healthcare teams.Perform physical assessments, obtain health histories, and implement individualized plans of care using the nursing process.Administer medications, including multiple critical care drips and IV push medications (e.g., sedatives, vasoactive agents, antiarrhythmics, thrombolytics, emergency drugs).Monitor, assess, and respond to changes in patient condition, including recognition of life-threatening emergencies and initiation of life-saving interventions.Operate and manage advanced medical equipment, including ventilators, infusion pumps, hemodynamic monitoring devices, CRRT equipment, defibrillators, and cardiac monitors.Interpret diagnostic data such as cardiac rhythms, arterial blood gases, and hemodynamic parameters; communicate abnormal findings promptly to providers.Ensure compliance with all Medical Treatment Facility (MTF), DHA, and clinic policies, procedures, and standards of care.Participate in Rapid Response Team (RRT) and Code Blue response as required.Provide patient and family education related to diagnoses, treatments, medications, and discharge planning.Supervise and clinically direct nursing care provided by LPNs and ancillary staff, ensuring appropriate task delegation based on scope and competency.Document all care accurately in the electronic medical record and verify or transcribe provider orders as appropriate.Serve as a preceptor to new nursing staff when assigned, supporting orientation and competency development.EEO Statement:InGenesis is an equal opportunity employer committed to fostering a diverse, inclusive, and equitable workplace.
