As a licensed four-star childcare center in Essex Junction, We've created a true "home away from home" where curiosity is encouraged, relationships matter, and both children and educators are given the space to grow.DutiesPosition ResponsibilitiesAs an essential member of our teaching team, you'll help keep our days running smoothly and ensure children receive the care and attention they deserve. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Providing lunch‑break coverage so teachers can rechargeAssisting classroom teachers in meeting children's daily needs with patience and careSupporting daily cleaning routines and helping with laundry to maintain a healthy environmentStepping in to cover staff absences and keep classrooms running seamlesslyHelping organize supplies, restock materials, and maintain an orderly, well‑prepared spaceRequirementsPreferred QualificationsTo qualify for this position, applicants must:Be at least 18 years oldHave a high school diploma or GEDMeet one of the following early childhood education requirements:Acceptable Credential or Coursework OptionsVermont Early Childhood Career Ladder Level 1 or Level 2 Certificate, orCurrent Child Development Associate (CDA) plus at least 12 months of experience working with children in grade 3 or younger, orState Board of Education–approved Human Services Program Certificate with a focus on child development or early childhood education plus at least 12 months of experience with children in grade 3 or younger, orFundamentals for Early Childhood Professionals course or the Vermont Afterschool Essentials Certificate plus at least 12 months of experience with children in grade 3 or younger, orNot sure if you qualify?
