Now hiring Quality Assurance Technician in our Kingsport facility.What we offer:Paid bi-weeklyPaid breaksBenefits package: Medical, dental, vision (after 60 days), 401k w/match, paid time off, paid holidays start on first dayWe promote from withinWhat you'll do:Responsible to identify and react to Food Safety, Good Manufacturing Practices and HACCP concerns.Measurement, observation and inspection of process and product to ensure products meet quality requirements according to specification. This would include startups, changeovers, line clearance, PM's and in-processing during the shift.Follow GMP requirements and ensure that GMP type issues do not affect the integrity of the product produced.Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent. Able to read and interpret prints for measurements and specifications.Communication with supervisor, shift personnel and management staff.Create and maintain documentation as required by procedures and work instructions, ensuring paperwork is completed correctly and filed.Visually Inspect/audit product to determine that visual defect requirements are met. Understanding of the Visual Quality Standards for all products being manufactured.Understand sample size and frequency for testing. When computer shows that product does not meet specification, check to ensure it is not due to gage or operator error. If it is not gage or operator error, place product on hold per nonconforming material procedure.What you'll need to have:Highschool diploma or equivalent1 year experience in a manufacturing environmentMathematical abilityCommunication skillsWriting legiblyBasic computer skills. Knowledge of MS office preferred.
