Data Entry Pharmacy Technician

Actalent is hiring for Registered Pharmacy Technician with full time Opportuntiy!Job DescriptionThe Pharmacy Technician will play a critical role in ensuring exceptional customer service and operational efficiency. You will respond to both inbound and outbound calls to customers, providing timely and accurate information about pharmacy services, delivery inquiries, and assisting with refills. You will be responsible for addressing and resolving customer complaints, verifying insurance coverage, and facilitating prior authorization requests. Additionally, you will accurately transcribe prescriptions, generate reports, coordinate deliveries, and serve as the primary contact for service-related inquiries. This position also requires maintaining patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.ResponsibilitiesRespond to inbound and outbound calls to provide information and resolve customer inquiries regarding pharmacy services.Verify insurance coverage and facilitate prior authorization requests.Accurately transcribe prescriptions and generate reports following the cycle fill calendar.Coordinate delivery and serve as the first point of contact for service-related inquiries.Support pharmacological services by editing fill list verification, including insurance information and billing.Enter patient information into patient records accurately and completely, maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations.Essential SkillsPharmacy technician certification2+ years of experience as a pharmacy technicianStrong data entry and typing skillsValid Florida Pharmacy Technician LicenseCompletion of a board-approved pharmacy technician training programAdvanced skill in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and AccessExcellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong commitment to teamwork and flexibilityTime management skillsAdditional Skills & QualificationsBilingual in English and Spanish strongly preferredDME experience preferredTelephonic customer service experiencePrior authorization experienceWork EnvironmentThe position is 100% onsite in a specialty pharmacy attached to a community clinic. You will be part of a team environment consisting of four technicians and one pharmacist. The role involves a high-volume filling environment, handling 100-150 prescriptions per pharmacy team per day, supporting four local pharmacies. The shift is Monday through Thursday, with Fridays from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm, including an hour of unpaid lunch, which can be shortened to maximize payJob Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Plantation, FL.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
