Job DescriptionDescriptionJob SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Urgent Care team in San Marcos, TX. The ideal candidate will have prior urgent care experience and thrive in a fast-paced, outpatient environment delivering high-quality, efficient patient care.Key ResponsibilitiesEvaluate and treat patients presenting with a wide range of urgent and non-emergent conditionsPerform procedures such as suturing, splinting, wound care, and other urgent care servicesOrder, interpret, and manage diagnostic tests including labs and imagingProvide patient and family education on treatment plans and follow-up careCollaborate with urgent care physicians and support staff to ensure efficient, team-based careDocument all encounters accurately and timely in the EMRQualificationsCurrent Texas license as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician AssistantNational certification (AANP, ANCC, or NCCPA)Previous urgent care experience requiredBLS and ACLS certificationsAbility to work independently with strong clinical judgmentSchedule & Compensation3 shifts per week, with rotating weekendsCompetitive salary based on experienceComprehensive benefits package including health, dental, and vision insurance, malpractice coverage, PTO, CME allowance, and a 403(b) retirement plan with employer matchWhy San Marcos?San Marcos is a thriving community located between Austin and San Antonio, offering excellent schools, outdoor recreation, a vibrant cultural scene, and a welcoming small-town atmosphere with quick access to big-city amenities.
