Host/Hostess

-Part Time Position with about 15 hours a week -Must be able to work Saturday & Sunday from 10:00am- 6:00pm and occasional Friday Job Description The Host(ess) acts as welcoming representative of the Winery. The in-store menu, wine, beer, and retail product expert, able to readily assist customers to determine needs and make recommendations. The Host(ess) develops a strong customer base and builds relationships to maximize repeat visits; as well as fosters a collaborative work environment, ensuring a positive internal and external customer experience. Major Duties and Responsibilities: · Welcome & Departure customer greeting; · Clearing and Re-setting tables for guest (as needed) · Seat guest according to the seating chart, server rotation and guest preference and provides guest with menus · Maintain control of the seating and wait times · Helps customer make selections by building customer confidence; offering suggestions and opinions · Processes payments by totaling purchases; processing checks, cash, store or other credit cards and gift cards · Maintain Retail product and wines properly stocked on floor · Maintain specific side-work assignments and help insure organization and cleanliness of restaurant at all times · Delivers food to tables and makes sure everything comes out to the guest satisfaction. · Report all maintenance issues to management · Required to be State of Florida TIPS certified · Willing to multi tasks and cross train · Lifting will be required · Willing to learn about the total winery experience including beers, wine, events and food · Ensure guest have a pleasant experience · Maintains open and flexible availability, including peak traffic hours · Performs any other tasks as requested by Management. · Adheres to the Company philosophy of cross training and will be required to work in other departments when needed · Maintains a working relationship and communicates with all departments. · Adheres to the Company policy in addition to my regular duties it is my duty to being aware while on the property of anything that looks suspicious and reporting it, remaining security conscious at all times, and protecting hotel guests and fellow employees’ property. It is my responsibility to always report any unsafe conditions, accidents, or suspicious persons immediately to Winery management. · Upholds the Company commitment to hospitality.
