Nestled in Martin County, FL, our Club provides a unique setting with multiple amenities including a marina, racquets center, lifestyle center, clubhouse, and dog park with a focus on great food, high volume beverage bar scene, wine dinners and programs, a busy pub/ lounge area, and an assortment of dining options.Responsibilities· Customer Service Excellence: Ensure every member and guest enjoys a memorable and personalized dining experience in our understated yet upscale setting, with particular emphasis on our dining atmosphere. It’s a culture of service excellence. Member name recognition is crucial.· Staff Leadership: Lead and inspire our front-of-house team, including servers, hosts, and bartenders, to deliver top-notch service, wine knowledge, and craft cocktail expertise.· Reservations and Seating: Manage reservations, table assignments, and waitlists to optimize the use of our scenic golf course dining area and pub/ lounge area.· Quality Control: Maintain the pristine condition and ambiance of our dining areas, from table settings to lighting, that define our understated yet upscale atmosphere and top tier dining.· Guest Relations: Develop strong relationships with our members, address feedback, and handle special requests, creating a loyal member base that appreciates our wine program, craft cocktails, and amazing food.· Menu Expertise: Possess in-depth knowledge of our menu offerings, allowing you to assist members in making informed selections and offering recommendations for both entrees and appetizers.· Staff Training: Lead staff training sessions to uphold our high service standards, menu knowledge, craft cocktail preparation, wine sales, and member interaction.· Inventory Management: Handle front-of-house inventory, such as tableware, linens, and supplies, to ensure a well-equipped and inviting dining environment in all food & beverage related areas. Managing and conducting monthly beer, wine, and spirits inventories.· Safety and Compliance: Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations and licensing requirements, enhancing the safety of our dining location.· Financial Oversight: Monitor costs, including labor, and collaborate with management to achieve financial objectives while preserving our unique ambiance, event, food, wine and craft cocktail offerings.· Cross-Functional Collaboration: Foster seamless communication and teamwork with the kitchen staff, bar team, and management to create an exceptional dining experience with an extensive menu of entrees and appetizers.· Performs other appropriate assignments and projects as required by the Food and Beverage Director and/or Supervisor/General Manager.· Event Management: Plan, manage, and execute multiple club, members, private, and outside special events.Qualifications· Experience: Prior experience in Club or hospitality management, with an emphasis on front-of-house operations, wine sales, craft cocktails, and high-end dining service.· Customer Focus: A passion for delivering exceptional customer service and cultivating a welcoming atmosphere in our private club, with expertise in our wine program, craft cocktails, dining menus, club events, and all member activities.· Leadership Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and motivation skills for our front-of-house team, emphasizing hands on training, culture of excellence, and food and wine knowledge.· Organization: Exceptional organizational skills to manage reservations, seating, and daily service logistics in multiple dining areas.· Adaptability: Flexibility to thrive in a dynamic Club environment, especially during peak service hours and times.· Problem-Solving: The ability to address member concerns and operational challenges professionally and effectively.· Teamwork: A collaborative spirit that encourages effective cooperation with the kitchen team and other staff members.· Point of Sale (POS) Systems: Familiarity with Club POS systems such as JONAS for order processing and payments.Licenses and Special Permits· Alcoholic beverage certification.· Food safety certification.Physical Demands and Work Environment· Required to stand for long periods and walk, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, stretch and twist or reach.· Push, pull or lift up to 50 pounds.· Continuous repetitive motions.· Work in hot, humid and noisy environment.Compensation and PerksPiper's Landing Yacht & Country Club offers a total compensation package, including a competitive salary, performance-based bonuses, comprehensive health benefits, a generous 401(k) match, and flexible PTO to help you thrive.
