Senior L3 Network Engineer12+ Months ContractHybrid Role in Durham, NCVideo + In-person InterviewWe are seeking a Senior L3 Network Engineer with 10+ years of enterprise networking experience to design, implement, and support complex network infrastructures across enterprise, data center, cloud, and manufacturing environments. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Cisco routing & switching, Palo Alto firewalls, SD-WAN (Cisco Viptela & Prisma SD-WAN), cloud networking (Azure, AWS, GCP), and advanced routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, MPLS).The role involves leading L3 troubleshooting, managing major network incidents, implementing Zero Trust and network security, supporting VMware vSAN projects, and maintaining hybrid WAN connectivity. Candidates should also have experience with OT/Industrial networks (SCADA, PLC, MES), network automation using Terraform, Ansible, and Python, and monitoring tools such as SolarWinds, Wireshark, ThousandEyes, and Splunk. Strong problem-solving skills, project leadership, and the ability to collaborate with cloud, security, and infrastructure teams are essential. CCNP and/or PCNSE certifications are highly preferred.
