Brief DescriptionConductor Power is seeking skilled Substation Technician to perform installation, maintenance, testing, and troubleshooting of high-voltage (HV) electrical substations and equipment. Responsibilities include ensuring system reliability, adhering to safety standards, and supporting project timelines. Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical systems and equipment. Monitor and assess the performance of solar energy systems and substations to ensure optimal operation. Utilize SCADA systems to analyze data and report on system performance. Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations in compliance with local, state, and federal guidelines. Participate in safety training and ensure a safe working environment for yourself and team members. Diagnose electrical issues and perform necessary repairs to minimize downtime. Collaborate with engineers and other technicians to resolve complex technical problems. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs. Prepare reports on system performance and maintenance activities for management.Complies with all company policies. All other duties as assigned or deemed appropriate.RequirementsProven experience as a substation technician or in a similar role within the renewable energy sector. Strong knowledge of electrical theory, high voltage systems, and safety practices. Familiarity with solar energy systems and associated equipment. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals. Proficient in the use of diagnostic tools and software. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
