General Laborer

Chagrin Valley Gig is a community-based provider investing millions to build fiber-optic networks to our Chagrin Valley region residents. We are currently looking for a full-time General Laborer to work in the Chagrin Valley region in Ohio. This position offers an hourly range of $18-$23, based on experience and the benefits shown below. Candidates with a high school (or equivalent) diploma and some experience in construction/utility work will be prioritized during the interview process. Also includes: Preparing the work site & cleaning up afterwards Loading, transporting, & unloading materials/tools Assisting with drilling fluid mixing & clean-up Helping with utility locating, potholing, and pipe handling-(fusing/joining pipe sections) Operating hand tools and power tools as needed Maintaining a clean and safe work environment Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor Qualifications/Requirements for the General Laborer:Previous experience in construction or utility work is preferred High school diploma or equivalent Skills: Ability to perform physical tasks such as digging, lifting, and loading Tool Operation: Knowledge of basic hand and power tools Safety Practices: Understanding of safety protocols and procedures Physical Demands: Ability to meet the physical demands of the job, including lifting, standing, and bending Safety Knowledge: Strong knowledge of safety rules and regulations Teamwork: Ability to work effectively as part of a team Communication: Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers Attention to Detail: Ability to follow instructions and pay attention to detail.
