Technician, Optical Laboratory

Park Nicollet is looking to hire an Optical Laboratory Technician to join our Eye Care team! Come join us as a Partner for Good and help us make an impact on the care and experience that our patients and their families receive every day.Position Summary:Receives, records, and analyzes eyewear prescription orders for accuracy and manufactures ordered eyewear products utilizing various equipment and tools in accordance with department standards. Produces nonstandard surfaced lenses from semi-finished stock to meet prescription order specifications.Work Schedule:* Monday through Friday.* 7:30am to 4:00pmRequired Qualifications:* Good communication skills.* Good hand dexterity.* Demonstrates knowledge of age-related growth and development principles necessary to provide appropriate service and assure safety of patients.* The incumbent must be able to proficiently utilize the following equipment: optical lab finishing and surfacing equipment; optical equipment and tools; telephone pager; fax machine; photocopier.* Understand optical lab computer & POS computer relating to orders.Preferred Qualifications:Education, Experience or Equivalent Combination:3 or more years of related experience is preferred.Licensure/ Registration/ Certification:NAKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:NABenefits:Park Nicollet offers a competitive benefits package (for eligible positions) that includes medical insurance, dental insurance, a retirement program, time away from work, insurance options, tuition reimbursement, an employee assistance program, onsite clinic and much more!
