Lead Avionics EngineerLos Angeles, CAAn innovative spacecraft startup is seeking a Lead Avionics Engineer to own the design, integration, and testing of spacecraft avionics systems across multiple upcoming flight programs.This role is ideal for a technically strong engineer who enjoys leading hands-on spacecraft hardware development in a fast-moving environment.ResponsibilitiesLead spacecraft electrical interface design, integration, and test activities.Design and develop avionics subsystems and flatsat environments.Support RF integration, radio testing, and ground simulator setups.Own EMI/EMC and grounding strategies for spacecraft systems.Develop power budgets, communications architectures, and protocol selections.Drive electrical integration procedures and verification campaigns.Mentor junior engineers and support technical team growth.Requirements5–10 years of spacecraft avionics or electrical engineering experience.Strong hands-on experience with PCB design, harnessing, and spacecraft integration.Experience with EDA tools such as Altium, KiCad, or Eagle.Familiarity with NASA GEVS standards.Experience leading integration and testing efforts preferred.Comfortable operating in fast-paced startup environments.US Person status required.Why Join?Help build spacecraft for high-visibility government and commercial missions.Significant ownership across spacecraft development lifecycle.Opportunity to contribute to next-generation spacecraft automation initiatives.Collaborative, engineering-first company culture.If you think that you could be a fit, we’d love to hear from you.
