If you are too, let's talk. About the RoleWe’re seeking an Associate Solutions Engineer to help customers securely connect people to technology. In this role, you’ll support the sales process by demonstrating how modern identity solutions can solve real business challenges across authentication, authorization, and user management.You’ll work closely with Sales, Customer Success, and Engineering to deliver technical expertise throughout the customer journey—from discovery to proof-of-concept—while building a strong foundation in Identity and Access Management (IAM).What You’ll DoPartner with Account Executives to support technical discovery, product demonstrations, and proof-of-conceptsDemonstrate identity solutions including Single Sign-On (SSO), Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), and lifecycle managementBuild and customize demo applications and integrations using JavaScript and PythonHelp customers evaluate and implement identity solutions, including integrations with APIs and third-party servicesTranslate complex identity and security concepts into clear, business-focused messagingSupport RFPs/RFIs and respond to technical questions during the sales cycleCollaborate with Product and Engineering teams to relay customer feedback and improve offeringsWhat You Bring2–3 years of professional experience in a technical, customer-facing, or pre-sales roleHands-on development experience with JavaScript and/or PythonExperience working directly with customers (e.g., technical support, implementation, consulting, or sales engineering)Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain technical topics to diverse audiencesAbility to quickly learn new technologies and adapt in a fast-paced environmentPreferred QualificationsFamiliarity with identity platforms such as Okta or Auth0Understanding of identity standards and protocols (e.g., OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, SAML)Basic knowledge of cybersecurity principles, particularly around authentication and access controlExperience working with REST APIs, webhooks, and system integrationsExposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)Why Join UsBuild expertise in one of the fastest-growing areas of cybersecurity: Identity & Access ManagementGain hands-on experience with industry-leading platforms and real-world customer use casesClear growth path into a Solutions Engineer or Senior Solutions Engineer roleCollaborative, customer-focused team environment P24804SSP2CM Below is the annual On Target Compensation (OTE) range for candidates located in California (excluding San Francisco Bay Area), Colorado, Illinois, New York and Washington. Your actual OTE, which is inclusive of base salary and incentive compensation, will depend on factors such as your skills, qualifications, experience, and work location. In addition, Okta offers equity (where applicable) and benefits, including health, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), flexible spending account, and paid leave (including PTO and parental leave) in accordance with our applicable plans and policies.
