Maintenance Mechanic – Industrial Manufacturing$33+/hour (based on experience)Full‑Time | Manufacturing EnvironmentWe’re hiring an experienced Maintenance Mechanic to support industrial equipment and facility systems in a manufacturing environment. This is a hands‑on role for a mechanically strong technician who can troubleshoot, repair, fabricate, and keep critical equipment running safely and reliably.If you enjoy varied work, problem‑solving, and using your mechanical skillset every day — this role offers strong pay and long‑term stability.What You’ll DoPerform preventive maintenance and troubleshooting on industrial equipment including:Conveyors, pumps, mixers, and overhead cranesGearboxes, hydraulics, and production machineryDiagnose mechanical failures and make effective repairs to minimize downtimePerform welding and fabrication using stick, MIG, TIG, and torch weldingUse cutting torch and plasma cutter to cut, remove, and prep metal componentsRead and interpret mechanical blueprints, drawings, and maintenance documentationInstall, align, and maintain motors and pumps, ensuring proper alignmentInstall and repair welded, threaded, and PVC piping systemsOperate shop equipment such as drill press, band saw, and grindersSupport maintenance of rotary valves and dust collection systemsApply mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic knowledge to troubleshoot systemsFollow basic rigging procedures to safely move and install heavy equipmentDocument completed work and communicate equipment status to the teamWork closely with other maintenance staff, electricians, and millwrightsWhat We’re Looking For5+ years of experience as a Maintenance Mechanic in an industrial settingStrong mechanical troubleshooting experience with gearboxes, pumps, and hydraulicsBlueprint reading and fabrication experienceHands‑on welding and cutting experienceExperience aligning motors and pumpsKnowledge of mechanical power transmission, bearings, and lubricationWorking knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systemsExperience performing preventive maintenance in a manufacturing environmentBasic electrical troubleshooting skills related to maintenance workAbility to work independently and as part of a maintenance teamWhy This Opportunity$33+/hour — strong pay for seasoned mechanicsVariety of work (not repetitive production maintenance)Well‑equipped shop and industrial environmentLong‑term, stable role with growth potentialTeam‑focused maintenance cultureJob Type & LocationThis is a Permanent position based out of East Chicago, IN.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $63107.20 - $69118.40/yr.Employees enjoy a number of benefit options for themselves and their families.
