Billing Analyst

Snelling Staffing is seeking a billing analyst to join the accounting team for a prominent workers' compensation insurance company with over 35 years of servicing the Baton Rouge area. Our client will only consider applicants with a bachelor's degree, but they are open to training recent college graduates with an accounting or business-related degree. This position will be full-time hours paying in the range of $40,000 per year and offering an excellent benefits package upon completion of training. The ideal candidate is professional, has billing experience posting receivables, is detailed oriented and is looking for a career with growth opportunities! * Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Prepares daily receivables for posting and deposit. • Performs customer service duties by handling correspondence and phone calls regarding payments or billings. • Researches & validates acct discrepancies and determines appropriate action. • Prepares & mails monthly billing statements and worksheets. • Issues premium audit refunds/voids • Processes manual cancellation requests from Policy Services and also completes the mass monthly cancellation & reinstatement process. • Generates and distributes monthly Agent Late Notices • Monitors accounts for past due balances and determines appropriate action to be taken. • Authorizes and monitors payment arrangements (between 2 - 6 months) • Contributes to the team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. Requirements: • Background in insurance procedures and policyholder services • General knowledge of worker's compensation line of insurance • Organizational skills • Attention to detail • Data Entry, 10-Key • Excellent computer skills such as Microsoft Office applications, Outlook, etc. • Professional written and oral communication skills and the ability to effectively deal with others.
