Our Firm prioritizes internal promotion, offering excellent career advancement paths for high performers who are ready to take the next step in their careers.The base salary range for this position is $105,000-$135,000.Responsibilities IncludeStrategize with attorneys in multiple offices to handle high-volume litigationReview litigation case files and pleadings to determine appropriate actionAssist local offices with trial preparation, including witness and evidence preparation, and preparation of trial memoranda.Appear in trial, as necessaryArgue summary judgment motions and discovery dispute motions, as necessaryCommunicate with clients and escalate issues to in-house counselPrepare motions and memoranda involving unique, novel or complex legal issuesReview and revise discovery responses prepared by local offices, and assist in drafting offensive discoveryCoordinate witness appearancesAnalyze inventory reports in ExcelConduct legal research and analysisReview and sign pleadings as prepared by staff, as necessaryUtilize internal proprietary software to track litigation filesComply with all client and firm standard operating proceduresOther duties as assignedRequirementsMinimum three years of litigation experienceAdmitted to practice law in any state, California OR Texas bar license is preferredExtensive litigation skillset, which includes the expertise to effectively handle all phases of contested lawsuitsExcellent verbal and written advocacyWillingness and ability to mentor associate attorneysStrong organizational and time management skillsProficient in the Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel, and OutlookWillingness to learn proprietary softwareBe able to communicate in a common language with (or to) individuals or groups verbally and/or in writingBe able to operate a computer, phone, or equivalent deviceBe able to complete a minimum of a 40-hour flexible workweek schedule Be able to read and comprehend position-specific documents and correspondencePhysical QualificationsBe able to lift five pounds or greaterBe able to sit 90% of the workday at timesBe able to bend at the waist and be mobile when neededBe able to concentrate and use critical thinking Please note that this job description is not intended to be a comprehensive listing of all activities, duties, or responsibilities required of the employee in this position.
