Billing Clerk

We are looking for a detail-oriented Billing Clerk to support billing operations for a legal organization in Lincoln, Nebraska. This Long-term Contract position is ideal for someone who can manage invoicing accurately, follow up on outstanding balances, and maintain organized billing records within a computerized billing environment. The role requires strong attention to detail, consistency in handling statements, and the ability to work effectively with billing systems and collection-related tasks.Responsibilities:• Prepare and distribute accurate invoices and billing statements in a timely manner.• Review billing information for completeness and correct discrepancies before processing.• Monitor outstanding accounts and follow up on overdue balances through appropriate collection activities.• Maintain up-to-date customer and account records within the billing system.• Process routine billing transactions using computerized tools and internal software.• Respond to billing-related questions and provide clear support regarding charges and account status.• Reconcile billing data to help ensure financial records remain accurate and current.• Experience handling billing duties in an administrative or accounting support role.• Working knowledge of invoice preparation, account follow-up, and statement processing.• Ability to use computerized billing systems with accuracy and efficiency.• Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify and resolve billing discrepancies.• Comfortable managing collection-related tasks with strong attention to detail.• Proficiency with standard computer applications and data entry.• Effective written and verbal communication skills.• Ability to stay organized while managing recurring billing deadlines.Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
