Lead DevSecOps Engineer – Fintech – Remote – €140,000 + benefits – Kubernetes - AWSExplore Group has partnered exclusively with a fast-scaling, product-led fintech to support them with the hire of an experienced Lead DevSecOps Engineer. The business continues to see strong growth across the UK and Europe, delivering enterprise-grade financial platforms that process high volumes of secure, real-time transactions at scale.
The Role:
You will own security across platform and infrastructure, embedding best practices into engineering workflows and cloud environments.
Key responsibilities:
- Define and implement DevSecOps standards across the platform
- Embed security into CI/CD pipelines (SAST, DAST, scanning)
- Secure AWS environments (IAM, encryption, multi-account design)
- Harden Kubernetes and containerised workloads
- Implement secrets management and access controls
- Build security monitoring, alerting, and incident response processes
- Lead vulnerability management and threat modelling
- Support compliance (ISO 27001, GDPR, PCI-DSS)
Requirements:
- 5+ years in DevSecOps / Security Engineering / Cloud Security
- Strong AWS security experience (IAM, encryption, best practices)
- Hands-on with Kubernetes (EKS preferred) and container security
- Experience securing CI/CD pipelines
- Terraform (or Terragrunt) experience
- Secrets management (Vault, AWS Secrets Manager)
- Monitoring/logging tools (DataDog, ELK, CloudWatch, SIEM)
- Solid networking and zero trust knowledge
- Scripting skills (Python, Bash)
- Experience with incident response and vulnerability management
- Russian speaking is highly desirable for this position
Nice to have:
- Policy-as-code (OPA, Gatekeeper, Kyverno)
- Supply chain security (SBOM, signing)
- Experience in regulated environments (fintech, payments, iGaming)
