The driver ensures safe and timely deliveries within a defined regional area, maintains accurate documentation, and upholds high standards of safety, customer service, and vehicle care.ResponsibilitiesOperate CDL Class A vehicles with both manual and automatic transmissions to complete daily delivery routes.Drive within a regional range, including routes between Beloit and Milwaukee, while adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.Safely load compressed gas cylinders, dry ice containers, and other products onto vehicles using proper materials handling techniques.Prepare accurate truck load manifests and ensure all documentation complies with load safety, Department of Transportation, and general safe driving guidelines.Deliver compressed gas cylinders, dry ice containers, and related products to customer locations and pick up empty containers for return.Organize customer paperwork, complete delivery reports, and maintain accurate records for each stop.Listen to customer concerns or issues during deliveries and communicate those issues promptly to the appropriate internal personnel.Unload products at customer sites using safe lifting and handling practices, including lifting up to 100 pounds as needed.Maintain cleanliness and safety of assigned vehicles, including performing pre-trip and post-trip inspections.Complete vehicle inspection logs accurately and report any mechanical or safety issues immediately.Follow all company safety procedures and guidelines to ensure safe operations for yourself, coworkers, and customers.Perform additional duties as needed to support safety, efficiency, and customer satisfaction, including general labor and materials handling tasks.Essential SkillsValid CDL Class A license.Hazmat endorsement required.Airbrake endorsement required.12+ years of CDL Class A driving experience with manual transmission.Demonstrated ability to safely operate both manual and automatic transmission commercial vehicles.Experience with materials handling and general labor in a delivery or warehouse environment.Ability to safely lift and move up to 100 pounds on a regular basis.Strong attention to safety procedures, including pre-trip and post-trip inspections and compliance with Department of Transportation regulations.Ability to organize and manage delivery paperwork, manifests, and reports accurately.Effective communication skills to interact with customers and internal team members.Additional Skills & QualificationsPrevious experience delivering compressed gas cylinders, dry ice, or similar products is beneficial.Familiarity with regional routes between Beloit and Milwaukee is an advantage.Comfort working in a physically demanding role that involves frequent lifting, loading, and unloading.Ability to work independently on assigned routes while maintaining a strong customer service focus.Reliability and punctuality for early morning start times and variable route lengths.Why Work Here?You will join a family-owned organization with a small, close-knit team that values trust, collaboration, and mutual support. Work is entirely local, so you return home at the end of each shift. The environment is physically active, involving frequent loading and unloading of compressed gas cylinders, dry ice containers, and related products. You may work additional hours during the week and a half day on some weekends, depending on operational needs. The role centers around safe commercial vehicle operation, adherence to DOT guidelines, and consistent use of proper materials handling practices in warehouse, yard, and customer site settings.Job Type & LocationThis is a Permanent position based out of Janesville, WI.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $49920.00 - $62400.00/yr.
