We are looking for a Business Development Manager to play a crucial role in driving innovation, spotting emerging trends, and transforming insights into growth opportunities within the smart home market. About the Role:As a Business Development Manager for Smart Home Solutions at Grundfos, a Great Place to Work certified company, you will be integral to our Domestic Building Services (DBS) Solutions & Marketing team. Your primary focus will be on identifying and developing profitable growth opportunities in the smart home sector and being proactive in capturing emerging digital trends to create actionable strategies. You will report directly to the Vice President of DBS Solutions & Marketing and will operate remotely from your home office, with the flexibility to be based anywhere in the US, preferably in Brookshire, TX. Your Key Responsibilities:Lead development and execution of strategies focusing on your designated business area. Develop and implement comprehensive business strategies and plans for your area of responsibility. Collect and analyze market and competitor data. Evaluate and identify business opportunities within specific sub-segments. Create targeted business recommendations based on thorough customer and market insights. Drive and manage complex customer-oriented business development projects in collaboration with relevant stakeholders. Enhance impact by actively contributing to our digital organization and collaborating closely with product management and development teams to deliver innovative solutions. Share insights regarding future customer needs and market trends with relevant teams. Engage continuously with customers and sales channels through regular visits. Participate in customer-oriented business development pilot projects. Represent the segment at exhibitions, customer events, and seminars. Your Background:We envision you have: A Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience. 5-8 years of experience in business development or a related field. Experience in heating/cooling, security, or related areas within the smart home market is advantageous. A proven track record of successful business development outcomes. Strong knowledge of best practices in business development for the regional market. Experience in cross-functional collaboration and a passion for business development within both local and global contexts. A strategic mindset, capable of understanding the broader vision and translating it into actionable plans. A focus on customer centricity, accountability, and collaboration.
